evening all...umm...its gone awry! Disasterus week again to he point where I lost count! Had a traumatic day yesterday and had to have lunch on the road, then resorted to pizza & G&T in the eve, lunch out today because of training and team meal tomorrow! Must look at my diary before next time as if I had would have known that it wasnt doable this week...will check for next! How are others doing?! Better than me I hope! The only solace I have is that I'm still much better than I used to be lol!

There is always next week.your allowed to slip once..just once mind :)

    Hi all

Well have spent my £50 plus a bit :o.
Have had a really bad week culminaing in me collapsing two days ago in a local shop (oh the shame). I'd only just had a drop of blood taken at Dr's as well. Don't think anything wrong was just a bit warm, was actually more bothered I had spilt my full fat coke. I mean I had just paid 90p to throw that over the floor . Anyhow ended up going for a meal out as could not be pestered to cook that day, pushing me £5 over £50 limit.

Next week will be going for a no spend week this will be from Tuesday to Sunday as am going out on Monday.

Good luck to everyone else and sorry for waffle.

Hi all.. Tylersbabe hope you're OK!

I've done ok with the 'incidental' spends - £4.85 so far, made up entirely of bus fares and crisps. Spent a bit more than I intended to on grocery budget - think I need to bulk buy toilet roll as I always end up picking up other things when I go to get it.

Feeling a bit fed up today, but will try to resist urge for takeaway and wine, and have a nice homemade tea and an early night.

Evening, I see from your sig that you are going to New York and have £0 savings so far.. but this is just an idea ..but maybe what you normally spend on diet coke you put this towards you solo trip to New York? As i said before this is just an idea :D

As everyone knows my mum is arriving in the UK tomorrow night and staying the week at my house (food being delivered tomorrow, she has paid for it as i am putting up with her for a week :rotfl: ) so i am going to say that next week starting from monday going through till Sunday I will spend £50 (i dont even think i have this much to spare in the bank after all my DD's come out for this week but hey ho). I proberly wont spend that much as My Mummykins will be buying me things. Iam suppose to be getting a new bed for my 21st which is next month but hopefuly get it while she is over visiting. My DS is suppose to be getting a bunk bed for his birthday also next month :D

Ok i have rambled on so much.

Take care all i will try and post during week as wont be on as much from tomorrow night at about 8.30pm when she arrives :D

Hi all, well final total for the week was exactly £5 spends on bits and pieces and £9-something on groceries so kept within my target. This week I'm going to go for £5 for each.

Tylersbabe - good luck with the diet coke addiction! And Mumzy have a lovely time with your mum. Hope everyone has a good week x

Hmm well not the best start, spent £7.52 on food! Leaving me with £1.25 of my grocery budget until 23rd.. am away for a few days so have worked out I need to get 10 lunches and 10 teas out of what I've got left... I think a list may be in order!

And here it is, the contents of my kitchen... partly to help me get my head round what I've got, and partly would appreciate any ideas if anyone's got some!

    Carbohydrate type things:
    Loads of rice
    [strike]1/2 Packet[/strike] 1/4 packet of spaghetti
    Some flour
    [strike] 2 potatoes[/strike]
    200g oats
    [strike]200g[/strike] 150g couscous

    Fruit & veg:
Bananas, apples (usually take to work as snacks)
    [strike]2[/strike] 1.5 tins tomatoes
[strike] Pack[/strike] 1/2 pack of cherry tomatoes
    1 white cabbage
    [strike] 2 onions[/strike] 1 onion
    1 cucumber
Half a jar pickled red cabbage
    Half a jar beetroot chutney
    2-3 portions frozen broad beans
    1-2 portions frozen spinach
    [strike]2[/strike] 1 x 100g packs olives
    Garlic
    Chillis

    Meat:
    [strike] 1lb diced beef[/strike]
1 portion frozen chilli con carne (might be able to stretch out to 2)
    [strike]1/2 packet of sliced chorizo[/strike]

    Other stuff:
    1 egg
    1 err lump of mozarella
    Mayonnaise
    Butter
    Oil
Plenty of herbs, spices, curry powder etc.

    Breakfast:
Cereal (12 portions in a box apparently!) - 10 left

Just had a thought - hope nobody minds if I pop back and edit this post once I've used things up, think it might help me to keep track and remember what I've still got left!! Will also post up what I've done with what I've used. Had another thought that I might try a couple of days just having cereal for tea if I'm not too hungry.

    Meals made so far...
Sunday - Have made some beef stew along these lines - http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2209/italianstyle-beef-stew.jsp - tonight, 3 portions. Having with a small baked potato tonight.

Monday: breakfast - cereal, lunch - beef stew and cousous, tea - spaghetti with tomato and chorizo sauce
Tuesday: breakfast - cereal, lunch - spaghetti, tea - beef stew, potato, cabbage
Wednesday: breakfast - cereal, lunch- chilli con carne, broad beans, couscous, tea -
