Cheap Petrol

I see numerous threads about petrol, but i didn't see any mentioning where to find it.

I came across this site, which is updated by the public when they see cheap petrol in their area.

I have just updated Hartlepool section as Tesco has Unleaded at 90.9 and Diesel at 94.9 .

If you know of a cheap place to get petrol in your area, please post it on the website so we can help eachother when or if this blockade happens.


Please note, this is not spam and i have no connection with the website at all, i saw it in another forum and thought it was usefull if we all stick together and update it.

Petrol has just fallen by 2p a litre in Dudley - from 93.9 - 91.9 last night.

Find cheap petrol doesn't even have Kidderminster listed - the biggest town in Worcestershire!

Global oil price has actually been coming down over the last week or so, see:

It is now at about the same level at around 19/20 August 2005 when the price of unleaded petrol was only 89.9 ppl. There is absolutely no logic now as to why petrol price continues to rise relentlessly given the hard evidence above! (Shall we say the greedy oil companies are at it again?)

I'm currently developing a similar site (but that's the first time I have seen findcheappetrol.com). If it becomes popular enough I'm going to make use of geographical searching, providing reports suitable for viewing on Google Earth (http://earth.google.com). Although aimed primarily at Cabbies, the site is also intended for anyone trying to find the cheapest petrol. Petrol station managers can also sign up and enter prices directly.

Membership is free, so go on, sign up and force me to do more work on the site! Please take the time to add the lat/lon as described in the help page so that the geographical aspect can become useful as features are added.

Check out this new free petrol prices site. It has over 10,000 petrol stations with prices updated at 8000 stations every day.

I think it's still in a beta stage, but the basic price searching works fine.
