The Hunt for the cheapest Petrol

Hi everyone,
I have read through a couple of petrol threads, one that mentions 'petrol direct' - which isn't real, some talk about the differences between supermarket and other petrol and some talk about boycotting the big chains like BP etc.
I propose that inconjunction with the boycott should you choose to do it, we all keep our eyes and ears open for the best petrol prices and deals.
For example, which supermarkets offer you the most pence of per litre when you shop with them?
Which one's have petrol loyalty cards?
What are the prices like where you live?
Who can find the cheapest petrol?
So I will start, the Morrissons in Milton Keynes appears to be the cheapest near to me at 93.9 per litre  (although I haven't checked tescos yet) - rediculous price! They have some petrol miles card, not too sure how it works.
Texaco have a voucher for 2p off per litre that they give you each time you fill up.
Anyone else?
Thanks
Katrina

Apparantly the Esso in Dudley lowered it's price by 2p to 91.9p last night. Average round here this morning was 94.9p

Global oil price has actually been coming down over the last week or so, see:
http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/fds/hi/business/market_data/commodities/default.stm
It is now at about the same level at around 19/20 August 2005 when the price of unleaded petrol was only 89.9 ppl. There is absolutely no logic now as to why petrol price continues to rise relentlessly given the hard evidence above! (Shall we say the greedy oil companies are at it again?)0 -

Supposedly, it equates to a discount of 1.5p per litre. They pay this by way of a £5.00 voucher for use in store. I use them because I think they're about the cheapest, and they're really close to my house. I've stopped looking at the prices (I have to have petrol!) - it scares me! Incidentally, they only give the points per whole litre, so I only buy whole litres (i.e. round up to the nearest litre rather than the nearest £) - it'll probably make me an extra 12p over the next 20 years.
My view is "I would buy it here anyway and every now and then they give me a fiver".
MBEIf you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Hi,
I'm currently developing a web site to help people find the cheapest petrol in their area. If it becomes popular enough I'm going to make use of geographical searching, providing reports suitable for viewing on Google Earth (http://earth.google.com). Although aimed primarily at Cabbies, the site is also intended for anyone trying to find the cheapest petrol. Petrol station managers can also sign up and enter prices directly.
Membership is free, so go on, sign up and force me to do more work on the site! Please take the time to add the lat/lon as described in the help page so that the geographical aspect can become useful as features are added.
