Best Investment for Child Trust Fund Voucher

My daughter has asked which is best and just wondered if anyone had any pointers to consider. She was looking at the Nationwide and Yorkshire Bank. YB is a share investment one and the Nationwide has 2, one is cash and the other is like the YB, a share investment one.

She is not really a risk taker and is worried the account will end up with less than what you put in. Any thoughts people, I do realise these are personal opinions.

cheers

Neither the YBS or Nationwide are good options.

Its going to be in there 18 years. Cash basically maintains its real term value. So, in 18 years time it wont be much more than £250 in real terms. The stockmarket option could end up with less at the end but also allows for the potential for real growth. Its only £250 and 18 years so you may as well invest it.
