Cheapest Train - Grantham to St Helens...

Could someone help me with this one please as im not sure where to look for the cheapest tickets.

Looking to go on Friday 9th May, anytime after 10am is fine. Just a single, no return.

Cheapest i can find is £46 which seems a lot.

    Try:

    standard single Grantham - Sheffield - £18.50

    Advance purchase single Sheffield Manchester - some available at £4 or £5 depending on time. This is the only one that ties you to a particular train.

    standard single Manchester - St Helens £6.50

    So under £30.
