Hi all,
Could do with a little help if poss.In January I switched my electric to British Gas option 3.At present I pay £31.50 per month direct debit which seems a bit high but still the cheapest option.I have checked my BG account online and after the first 3 months I am £26 in credit.I have been keeping records of my usage and it is about 45 units per week.What I would like to know is should I send them a reading every month or every 3 months as I gather that they look at the direct debit every 6 months.

I'd give them regular readings for the first year so that any statements and payment adjustments are based on accurate readings. Once they have a year's history their estimates will be more accurate, but I'd always check your quarterly statement.
