Nile - I iron socks and pants :o even though my family laugh at me, but they really *do* feel better when you put them on ;) As for teatowels, as well at the bacterial aspects mentioned, they fold and take up less space in the drawer when ironed :D

Just hung out some washing ...

~ sheets by corners, centres pegged seperately
~ socks by the toe, (don't have time to match)
~ undies on the inner lines (rotary line)
~ coloured hung inside out (sun bleaches ;) )
~ "if you wear it at the top, hang it from the bottom; if you wear it on the bottom, hang it from the top"
~ if I don't want peg marks, I use an old pair of tight threaded through the sleeves; peg the toe of tights from one wrist, other toe from other wrist end and the waist is pegged through the neck end. Otherwise, on a hanger
~ whites and sheets on the outer lines to max sun

Here's another illogical post about pegs for you.:o

Our peg basket has a mixture of wooden pegs and plastic pegs, the type that have a spring in the middle.;)

Why do I feel compelled to use wooden pegs on jeans and towels but the coloured plastic pegs will do for all the other washing on the line?

As for ironing bedding, tea towels and socks................why? Wouldn't you rather be relaxing and eating chocolate?:D
Sorry to interupt, but Nile ~ did you reeeeaaalllllly want THAT to be post 6,000 ?:rotfl:

I have a long outdoor washing line with a pulley at each end. It pulls up very high and catches all the wind. My DD has forbidden me from pegging out any underwear on this line!!
I have rigged up a lower one, out of view - this is my INVISIBLE PANTY LINE!!!
