HelloCan anyone help, I need to get a new ( to me) car soon. I have about £2000 to spend but would like to get one as economical as possible. I am not at all fussy but a reliable make would be good. Can anyone suggest a website that has a list of the most economical cars. I have seen that some cars only pay £35 tax a year, is there a list of these cars? Thanks

According to the AA, typical cars in each of the new system CO2 emission brackets are:

Up to 100: VW Polo Bluemotion 1.4 Tdi (diesel)
101-110: Skoda Fabia Estate Greenline (diesel), Toyota Prius 1.5 VVTi Hybrid, Citroen C1 1.0i, Peugeot 107 1.0
111-120: Mazda 2 1.4 (diesel), Smart fortwo coupe, Vauxhall Corsa 1.0i ECO 12v 3-door hatchback

In relation to the £35 a year tax. They're relatively new ones.

    Hi

Of course you can get a car for 2k....my brother has just bought a clio for £1500 and that is in the £35pa tax bracket.
Most of the cars have to be newer than 2001 although some makes have to be newer than that!!!

Scroll down and there is a drop down menu....keep selecting different makes/models...this will show you the ones you want.
