other people won't know - and it's unfair and wrong, and takes advantage of buyers with little experience. sellers like that give everyone else a bad name!
Apart from that..."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

i was actually searching for something to buy and found the item that way! now i won't touch the seller with a bargepole. i just feel bad for people like my OH who just wouldn't have known to fight for a refund....! yes there are worse things on ebay, but when you happen across someone who clearly doesn't understand their obligations as a seller, i'd sooner do something about it than let someone else end up losing money from it! :happyhear0 -
emailled the seller asking to check that they really did mean they would not refund if an item is lost in the post - got this reply:
i ship by 1st class recorded ,that why p&p bit higher than some others . i keep all proof of postage ,if required by buyer they can take it up with royal mail .that is why i put on there that i cannot be held responsible .Sending by recorded the item is insured upto 50 pound so would be able to print paypal invoice to prove that royal mail have lost your item ,then buyer can reclaim there money from royal mail ."
apart from the rubbish grammar (i even managed to use capitals in my original email
), this got my back up! they have no idea what their obligations are! sent another email telling them i would not be buying and that if a dispute ever was to occur, this is not what would happen! reported under a randomly chosen seller terms option as nothing was particularly appropriate! far far TSFE! :happyhear0 -
£50 insurance? Yeah, right. My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Unfortunately the anti paypal sites are chock a block with sellers like that one all moaning that nasty horrible paypal took back the buyers money even though they definitely posted the item and had a COP. That's why I dislike the anti paypal sites, if people can't understand how to use paypal and won't even take a friendly email explaining that they are likely to have problems then they shouldn't be using it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
