Hi everyone,

Just checked my hosts file in notepad, on the link after a very long time:

c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

good lord! there's soooo much rubbish on there its unbelievable! I tried to delete all the crap host links on there and keep my original 1. When I tried to save the hosts file with the 1 million crap host files deleted, I got this message:

Cannot create the c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file
Make sure the path and filename are correct

what do I do now? should I be worried ive got soooo many additional hosts on that file and how do I get rid of them?

thanks

If the IP address is 127.0.0.1 this effectively means that typing in the web address into a browser fails to connect it to that web address.
