£55k in debt and admitting it!

  • Its a horrible feeling once you finally get to write all your debts down isn't it.

    I did that last year in Nov and saw that my CCs and Loans (mainly from consolidating and then spending more whilst looking after a terminally ill relative so not earning as much (I'm s/e) as I could - doh!) came to £37006.

    I dont have a partner so its all on my head but I have now got those debts down to £33917.

    Still a long way to go and if I can get off this blooming Northern Rock SVR mortgage (fixed rate run out in Jan), that will help too.

    Its scary actually writing it all down but its the only way. The truth hurts as they say.
