who is the cheapest for providor for 0871 numbers with a BT line .

Hi - Just a thought i case you have not checked - the following website indicates numbers that are 08.... numbers and give you alternatives, many are free phone numbers -
check out this site - http://www.saynoto0870.com/

at the top of the page it highlights - Search to find an alternative number
click on this, put your number in the box, and new numbers, hopefully come flooding out

sometimes the alternative number is useless .You get put through to an office and not sales dept .So its then back to the 0871 number .

Depending on the 5th, 6th and 7th digits, 0871 (and 0872) numbers cost between 6p and 10p per minute to call (see HERE).

You might as well use BT.

Many companies match all the different rates, some with a slight markup, while one or two round all the 0844s to 5p, all the 0871/2s to 10p. Some VoIP and similar cheap calls providers just don't connect these calls. And in the past, a couple of companies have had tariff glitches of 50p on the 0.5p rate 0844 numbers.
