my dd found it usefulThe mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work unless it’s open.:o
A winner listens, a loser just waits until it is their turn to talk:)0 -
I have to agree with the double sided cards: Write the question on one side and the answer on the other side. Muddle them up and learn them in the car when going to school. He will learn them in the end. Also, if you keep an ear out to what he says, there'll always be ones he will make a mistake on - ask these orally. Hope that helps as that's how I learnt it and can still remember them many many years later0

The Early Learning Centre used to sell a game called Table Tops children can play it by themselves or with two or more. It really helped my son.
Remember every waking moment is a chance to turn it all around.;) Knowledge is the key to respect.

Both my girls have had trouble with TTs.
I just cant understand why they cant teach them parrot fashion anymore, I spoke to my girls teachers about this and they said it's just not the way to do it anymore?
What I did was: we had a week to learn them before the test on Friday's so
I typed out on the computer
1 x 3 = 3
2 x 3 = 6
3 x 3 = 9 and so on up to 12 x 3
printed them off and just done 3 and 3 only per night.
It worked for us. I really sympathise with you though, my 2 would be distraught sometimes.0 -
Thanks. Taken all the advice and while home yesterday made cards for 3x and 7x. After last night, he now knows, mixed up, all 3x and mixed up 1-7 of the 7x. Just got to keep repeating them to help them stick.
I've run out of white card now but hopefully we will be going out sometime today and I can pick up some more.0
