My god-daughter has £5000 to invest, she is 2 years old. Please tell me the best options for her. :beer: Peter

Please can you provide some more information regarding the situation? Here are some questions off the top of my head:
1)When would the money be required? 18, 21, 25, 65, another?
2) Who gets to decide when your goddaughter gets the money? You, her parents or your goddaughter?
3) what is the intended risk profile for the money? i.e. how much could be lost before the investment was pulled?0%, 5%, 10%, 50%, 100%, another?
If 0%, then a savings account would be required.

At that age she must have a Child Trust Fund. Depending on the type (and her parent's attitude to adding further funds directly into her name?) that may be the right option.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
