Birmingham Midshire?

There doesn't seem to be a mention of the 6.5% e-saving account on here just wondered if I'm missing something before I open one?

I've got ~£30k, about 50% in ISA's and the other 50% currently in an Ice Save account.

I've decided to transfer all my ISA's into Ice save as the other's are about to drop to lower rates. I don't fancy leaving it all with one bank so I'm looking for somewhere to put the other £15k.

Any reason I should avoid this?

Cheers :)

Don't know of any. I've had fixed rate products with them before (and currently) .... and they've been excellent.

Just opened the e-saver on Thu ... but still awaiting the promised Email !! So trusting my experience won't be tainted with their easy access products.

The message I got was along the lines of next stage in post rather than an email.

Thank you for pointing out that makes a difference ... I hadn't realised! :o

They did say there would be a confirmatory Email + the letter requesting a cheque. Bit optimistic to expect the letter until early this next week, but I did expect the Email to be a bit swift! Read on a different thread they're in arrears with ISAs and some people are getting handwritten envelopes etc ... perhaps they're laboriously creating my Email that way!

I recently open an account with BM, but I received a letter requesting further ID; unlike Kaupthing Edge which verified me electronically

YorkshireBoy .... depressing, but useful, thanks.

Got a sizeable sum to extract from Halifax .... so when was your cheque credited, please (if it has / is viewable?). Need to work out whether to send it all via cheque .. or await the DD being set up. One problem is we're heading across to Norway in just over a week ... and I was optimistically hoping to have it sorted by then!

Normally resort to Debit Card under these circumstances .... but unfortunately they're going to insist on the personalised cheque!
