Hi, i read forums to see if i have a network adaptor.
I went to device manager and extended network adaptors. underneath it it says "Bluetooth PAN network Adaptor and also Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection"
Do i already have a network adaptor then or do i get a wireless adaptor from the shop ? Thanks

But yes, it seems you have.0 -

The port is exactly the same whether on a desktop or laptop... don't try to confuse matters

Yes the "Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection" is a network adapter (wired) and there will be a port on the back of your machine to plug an ethernet cable in toclick here to achieve nothing!0

yes, but then u will need a wireless adapter(wifi) for your pc and maybe for your laptop as well, that was not in the list, there is a bluetooth adapter which in theory could be used for this purpose but i have not seen a bluetooth capable router, its quite slow in comparison to wificlick here to achieve nothing!0 -
Ok thanks, i have one wifi adaptor not 2. can i have my router plugged in my desktop via ethernet and use the 802.11 adapto in my laptop. will it pick up signal in that respect?0

Yes. Normally the router has 3/4 sockets to use wired devices as well as sending out a wireless signal.0
