Hey guys
Im flying to New York on Zoom airlines from the 16th june till the 30th june from London Gatwick, and i have been a bit confused about what kind of travel insurance i should get.
I havent been on holiday before so i dont know what im doing!
Im not really doing anything specialist while there just general sightseeing and then my friend is driving us to Chicago for a bit more sightseeing.
If anyone could help me find the cheapest and best deal itd be much appreciated! I am a student aged 21 if that helps!

Firstly read through Martin's guide on travel insurance:

Have a look on price comparision websites like moneysupermarket.com. Type your details in and it will list all available policies and prices and you can compare which ones have which benefits.

You will need a Worldwide policy. I bought an annual one last year for about £35.

Have a good look at what is covered on each policy, the cheapest is not necessarily the best option! Make sure it has a high level of medical cover, and if you are taking lots of stuff or buying lots out there, then also look for a high level of baggage cover.

Also check to see if all your gadgets are covered too - e.g mobile/camera/mp3 etc.

If you are a student then maybe ask in your union as sometime they have special deals for students or try Sta Travel who specialise in students.

And if you are signed up to cashback site like Quidco try looking on there to see if you can get better deal with cashback.
