I took out a 2nd Mortgage (repayment type) with GE Money this is attached to my home. They have charged me various admin fees, extra interest, default notice charges, debt counselling fes etc...

Please can you tell me whether it is possible to reclaim these charges & fees back & if so how do I go about doing that..?

Many Thanks

It really depends on when you borrowed the money.
    how much you borrowed
if you added ppi inot the loan

give me an idea of this info and Iwill tell you if you have a chance to make a successful claim.

My ex husband and I also took a loan with GE Money in June 2001,I later split with my husband and he continued to live in the property it was secured on but he defaulted quite a few times with the repayments.
Eventually the loan was paid off in November 2005 when the property was sold. I noticed that there are quite a few Admin charges of £40 on their statements also interest charged as well. Is it possible to reclaim any of these amounts ?

With the age of the loan the chances are that there will be an opportunity to make a successful claim regarding this loan. It depends on how much you borrowed. If it is below £25,000 you have an excellent chance.

The loan was £11000 and I see there were lots of Admin fees and a Counselling fee ? whatever that is !
Can I take it that it's just the Admin fees I can claim? There are some charges of £20 as well, possibly for when Direct Debits were returned.

I see you are in my home town of Nottm !

    Cheers.........Shirley
