my daughter will be in shared rented accom in her 2nd year,been in halls this year,any tips on contents insurance,quotes so far are coming out at £150,is it possible to add to our home ins.?
any tips welcome

As far as im aware you cannot add onto your house insurance as she wont be living with you...i paid £80 for the year with endsleigh who specialise in student insurance, have you tried them?

You may not be able to add her on and even if you can it might be cheaper going to a student insurer. Try:

Check carefully what is included. Particulars to look out for are accidental damage and walk-in theft. Also check the excesses and if computing equipment is included, particularly if she has a laptop.

thanks for that SIS were almost £60 cheaper than any other quote we found and on a like for like basis!
