    Hi MM :hello:

Thats a great way of saying it, an advent calendar!

I have just checked my credit file and one of my debts that was in default has now been cleared, its now "settled" on my file (still showing as default though and will for 6 years  ). Only 1 more in default and I am paying that off with the collection agency. I was wondering though, when (if!) i get some money in August/September time i may ask them for a Final Settlement figure. It currently stands at £683.00, do you think that would be worth doing? I know its not gaining interest, but its not marked as "settled" on my file and i want to try and sort that out as soon as i can.

And sorry for the waffling! :rotfl:

I know absolutely nothing about credit files-sorry!! might be worth posting on one of the other boards to get an answer, does final settlement mean you might have to pay less?

    I think so.

Normally when you phone up DCAs they say if you can pay it today we will knock £50 off or something. Normally people cant pay, but i may be in a position to.

Hmmmm... i might see how the money situation is around August/September. And then see how i go from there.

i did one bingo site-jackpotking but apart from that just daily clicks, trying desperately to get up to my £35 withdrawal limit, dont really want to do much on there as most of it is on quidco for 4 times the money, worth a few clicks to get to £35 i think tho- on £28.93 at the mo. will go there now and do a few clicks i think.
