Thanks Jen & Amy :). I was lucky in that I got to invited to do an online focus group about 6 weeks ago which I got paid £30 for doing (not bad for what was basically spending 90 mins on what looked like a chat room). Anyway, the cheque was for that and some other surveys I'd done, it took a month to arrive but at least I have it now. I'd love to do another one but I think you have to be invited.

Amy, there is a board called competition time, if you have a look on there there are lots which you can enter. There is always a really useful sticky with competitions ending that day. I've entered a few today but doubt I'll win anything, that said I didn't think I'd win the ipod. It's all down to luck in the end but there are some people on that board who spend huge amounts of time comping.

    Afternoon all,

OMG, today is soooooo hot, and i've been sooo busy in the office.

Thats rubbish Amy about your card payment going out early, surely they aren't allowed to do that? ring them and give them an ear bashing, i know i would lol.

I bet you can't wait for your mum to come over Amy, i hope the weather is like this and you have a lovely time together.

Congrats on the win Jen, are you going to sell it on ebay or keep it for yourself?? lucky moo.

I was a good girl and listed some bits on ebay last night, i need to make as much money as possible to put towards the new pure GHD's i want. They cost £100 so if i can make half that i will be a happy bunny.

i think i will keep the tv as i said last month i would like a lcd flatscreen tv for the bedroom so i recon that will do the job unless it comes and it is worth loads then i will flog it and buy one with the cash!!

amy- like niiki said go to comping board and enter a few they are simple an easy question then enter name address etc for most. i started only entering for big things then on a few days i entered everything i came across i recon it is better than daily click but i suppose it is all luck. i entered loads over the weekend if i don;t win a thing i will be a bit dissappoinrted coz i must have entered 150 comps at least!!

I do Jen, believe it or not I used to be quite good with money, there isn't a feeling quite like having savings. Your post made me think about one of the reasons I'm in debt, I'm a bit of a corset obsessive. I've just counted, I have 10 proper steel boned ones, and another 4 spiral bound ones. The cheapest ones are about £105, and I only have one of those, that's over £1000 in corsets!! I think this one http://www.fairygothmother.co.uk/fgm-1003.htm was the most expensive, if I remember rightly it was £185. I wish I could sell them but it would be a bit soul destroying to part with them when I love them so much, especially whe nI wouldn't get anything like the price I paid for them. I don't think I'll ever be that wreckless again...

That is beautiful nicki-wish i had the figure to wear them! (i know they are supposed to give u a waist but i would need more than steel lol) You should keep them nicki coz you will never get much back on them , they will always be wearable (perhaps not when you are ninety!) and they will remind you not to be so reckless lol!!
I know what you mean exactly jen, was thinking what to do with novembers wage packet as i will be stating saving in dec, but then i thought..perhaps id better just save it as i cant think of anything worth spending my hard earned cash on!! You should def get yourself the ds tho jen-you have earned that from the comp wins and car boots you have done

Thanks Mabel, that one fits so well, I remember trying it on in the shop and just completely falling in love with it. It will be great when everyone is debt free. I know that it will take longer for me but once I have a job I'll be on your tails ;). I think the only thing I want to buy when I do have a job is a double bed, and that is mostly so my boyfriend can stay at mine insead of the other way around as it is at the moment. He lives in Brighton and his new job is in London, I live in the middle of the two so it makes sense as he will have less distance to travel then. I feel a bit funny, I think it's the heat... am trying to eat/drink more, am so hungry, have just put a stuffed pepper & quorn escallop thingy in the oven.
