i'm weirdly not very sentimental about this thread as i'll be taking all the friends ive made with me to the new one, will be sort of nice not to have my name on it so i feel less responsible!!!

lol-no i dont think we will get one jen :-)

Not much idea on the MINI really as the list of things i want keeps growing and its hard to know how much the prices will come down in a couple of years. anything from 6 grand to.. well...the skies the limit!!
    Realistically 6-8 grand.

oh how long do you think i will take to raise it?
i am going to buy my place with whatever money i have as a deposit when my dd start big school at 11 she is 6 years now. i will be able to work full time them so my income will be higher. so i have 5 years to save like made. aiming to fill my isa every year is it £3,600 a year???? x 5 years will be £18,000 uuummmm that would be lovely but i can;t see it really.
althought if i can pay off £1,200 in 8 months who knows!

I'm hoping to save about £180/200 a month possibly? so could be 3 years poss more or less, really not sure at the moment, might possibly be able to save more but not sure how im going to feel, whether im going to want another 3 years of scrimping or if id rather make it 4 years and be able to treat myself occasionally
