That is really not on hayley-why the hell should you be paying for that half hour? if she does that again i would say, ok shall we knock that half hour you owe me off my next lesson?
You be as horrible as you like-it seems to be a day for it today, have a damn good whinge, complain and cry and get it all out of your system for a great day tomorrow:-)0 -
Thanks MM.
I think I will do. May scream the house down as nobody is in.
I think if she does it tomorrow i will say something as i need all the time i can to get things perfect for tomorrow. Okay so i wasn't in the mood to be driving today, so whatever she said i wasn't taking in and just messing things up, but coming home half hr early and making me pay for that time is just not on.
I have 7hrs driving time left to get things spot on. I'm going to be reading my drivers book all evening so fingers cross that helps me. It doesn;t help sometimes having somebody looking and judging your every move - thats what i hate. The test should be fun LMAO!
Thanks again guys x0 -
lol hayley no prob, just think your test will be the last time that anyone will have to drive with you-you WILL pass . Get that book read but remember to take some time for yourself as well.0

I would deffo do as MM suggests Hayley, that really isnt on with her.
I had several instructors i didnt like, and then found the guy i had for a year. He was great. He would take me home 5-10 mins before the end of the lesson, go over anything i wasnt sure of, which was fab.
Im in a foul mood today Hayley, give me her number :rotfl:

I'm sorry you've had such a bad time of it today Hayley, I think a lot of people have a bit of a rubbish time learning. In the end I got through three instructors (the first was a pervert, the second my sister fell out with and wasn't that nice anyway, and the last one I passed with). I finally passed on my fourth attempt in my own car (automatic), my mum ended up giving me valium because although my driving was fine when I was with my instructor I couldn't cope with the pressure of being in a test situation, I used to shake so much I literally couldn't get the gearstick in the right gear. I think my instructor didn't know what to do with me. Then I had to go through it all again to get a manual one lol.
Anyway, the point of that is try not to let it get you down, I never thought I'd pass and would get really upset when I didn't, but it happened in the end. Have you been taught the bay parking trick?
Also, definately make sure you get your moneys worth during the lessons. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
Whats the bay parking trick??? Hope you don't get bay parking in your test and never bay park??? lol.
Thank you for your words Nicelette. It really doesn't help when your instructor thinks you will fail. If said gave me my moneys worth maybe i wouldn't fail..!!0 -
I passed in my own car-automatic as well, never did my manual test, i'm not going through that again and my cars automatic so why bother lol!!0

The main reason I did the manual test after was because I (believe it or not after all that trauma) did actually want a manual car. Plus I figured that if I got a job that required me to drive I'd probably have to drive a manual. As it is the car I passed in was the one where the gearbox died, so now I have a tiptronic one which is better than a straight automatic but not as good as a manual. Irritatingly I passed the manual test a couple of months after I got the tiptronic car but I couldn't wait til I passed the manual one to get another car as I really needed one.
Anyway, enough of my rambling...
The trick for bay parking is to find a space, then line the wing mirror up to the second line on from the space. If you put the car on full left lock straight away (making sure you don't start reversing before it's all the way) you should get into the space first time. You might need to straighten up a bit if it isn't 100% but you're allowed to do that in tests. I hope that helps you a bit, it really helped me (my last instructor taught me it). Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
You are a brave woman to go through that twice Nicki! i see why you did it though.
Trying to work out the bay parking thing-do you mean the line that would be, if another car was parked in the next space the other side of that car?
Great now my question doesnt make sense either lol0 -
My instructor drew on his window for me so i could line up with that (for reversing around a corner!) and also for the bay parking:rotfl:Debt: just my mortgage
