£2400 of that was from selling my old mini though, but yeah I see your point LOL!
Really have no idea about the ISA, I think there was a discussion about it on the ISA /peps etc board- I think its connected to the savings board, try asking someone on there perhaps?

Wow, I'm the first person to post today, that never happens!

Well done on getting under £2000 Mabel :).

Jen, I'm obviously not an expert but over a reasonable period of time shares have proved to be better than almost any other investment. I doubt you'd lose money if you have a while to keep the money in the ISA, but obviously no-one can guarantee anything.

I've taken £84 out of my paypal account this morning which is good. Am going to list another lot of items on ebay on Tuesday for 10 days, then once they end I'm closing my shop \0/. I'm going to focus on etsy instead.
    Finally bought a home

hi nicki , oooh escaping from ebay, good for you!! I think its good for selling second hand stuff but for businesses, especially jewellery, its a waste of time in most cases.

yeah i agree with that it is petty good for second hand stuff but i wouldn;t run a business on there! i really want to do a car boot so i can avoid e bay a bit more!
speaking of ebay i have recieved a payment for the high school musical tickets from the women i phone yesterday after telling her husband she couldn;t have them and i relisted them. but i ma fed up with the tickets so i am going to send them to her. as she paid via paypal the money is safe in my account now isn't it? once a buyer pays they can't have there money back can they??
i am going to leave all the money in paypal for a week so i can list some 5p stuff then withdraw it all but i have over £75 in there now!!

Nichelette- are you having a closing down sale??? lol well done i hope esty works well for you!

right i am aiming for a no spend day today going up my mums for lunch so free food! really annoyed i couldn't do a car boot
hope you all have a good (wet) day

not sure about paypal but I wouldn't have thought she would bother paying after all this time if it wasn't genuine. Dont take my word for it though.

  • Morning all - MM well done on getting under £2k, that must feel great!

Jen, I'm no expert on stock and share ISAs but I'd be a bit wary if I were you about putting any money in a shares ISA that you are not looking at leaving for a long period of time. They are supposed to be very long term investments and at the moment the share market seems pretty unstable (don't know much about it but have asked my dad to invest some money for me and he said that he would have to wait because now is not the time to do it). A cash ISA the only thing you loose is the allowance that you have used up when you withdraw money, with stock and shares ISA you can lose your money too! Hope that makes sense!

We had a pretty good day out yesterday, weather turned out beautiful but not looking so good today! Planning on having a pretty quiet day today, hopefully NSD.

Hope everyone else is having a good day
