Morning girlies,
I am feeling a little more positive today, but still feeling like i will never be out of debt and will be stuck with the same old clothes, same old shoes, same old everything basically. I know there is more to life than nice things, but when nice things make you happy, its very hard to be happy without them.
Only another 5 months of debt, then can think about saving for a house and moving back home to Kent to start a new life, hopefully starting a new career too.
Right, i must get cracking, still need to dry my hair and get ready for work.
Have a great day all x0 -
hi hayley you can do it hun just stay strong you are on the home stretch now only 5 months maybe less? to go and then you can buy a few nice thins as your wage will be yours!!! maybe you should focus on one card so if feels like you have achieved more. it would feel great to be down to 1 card debt!! wouldn't it. have a great day.:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart

oh i have decided to pay most the extra money straigh off my debt as i would rather leave the money in the saving to prevent lossing a months interest. so i have £655 to go
that with payments only will take 44 weeks 11 months i need to make a load of extra money! i am going to try and see if i can do it if i can male £10 extra a day it should be ok! also the money is in a rubbish saver so i might transfer it then i could take a bit out to pay the debt. still going to be debt free by ocotober and that will be the first time in 4 years!! will be fab:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart

Hi all. Pleased you're a bit more positive today Hayley. Hope you're feeling better soon mm. Amy, if your food cupboards are anything like mine you'll have enough food to last you well over 2 weeks. and look on the bright side, this ccj thing isn't going to come back to haunt you once you have got everything straight and you can get it all over with.
My bids are going up nicely, I have a few listing ending today-amazing what you can make from stuff that you don't want or need any more.
Right, better go and have a bath. I have a poorly DD today so I'm at home with her. She's lying on the settee doing her dying swan act!!! lolGE 36 *MFD may 2043

lol cath- i was trying the dying swan act but as its only the dog here and she wasnt impressed i have given up!! Good luck to you and amy on your ebay sales. amy-like jen says at least you will be rid of the ccjs and if you can make £4 last 2 weeks just think of it as brilliant money saving practice-you can do it!!
Hayley-you are doing great and only 5 months to go!! you will be there before me and will be swanning around in nice new clothes before you know it (i will still be in my scabby old primark vest tops in december i think!!)

I was chatting with my sister the other day and we were discussing the pro's and con's of buying more expensive clothes as opposed to cheaper clothes. We have a mutual aquaintance who has 5 children and she says herself that she finds it a false economy to buy cheaper clothes as they don't last and she is always having to replace them, whereas when she started buying the more expensive, brand name clothes, they lasted so much longer and washed well etc etc and she was able to hand alot more of them down to her other children. So my sister has tried this and she finds it a better economy too. I have now decided to try this with my girlies. They have loads of clothes but don't want to wear many of them so I have just bought eldest DD a couple of so items of more expensive clothes and am inthe process of kitting our 2nd daughter the same. The rule is that they have to deplete their wardrobes and drawers of the stuff they won't/don't wear. So eventually they will have just the clothes that they will wear and hopefully these clothes will last longer and when they are fed up or have grown out of them I hope to be able to sell them on on ebay. On the plus side my eldest DD and I are the same size (apart from I have longer legs), and we have similar taste in some of the clothes.
I shall update as to how it's going. Oh, and I also intend to upgrade my wardrobe the same (at some point,) I did cheat and ordered the clothes out of the catalogue-but only owe £250 on there, so it's not too badGE 36 *MFD may 2043

enjoy your sausages and egg when you get home Amy!!!
let us know how it goes cath, its a bit of a dilemma i suppose working out whether you are actually paying for quality or just the name , i know i have bought expensive items in the past and some of them have been worse quality than primark, but the i spent £80 on a quicksilver jacket that has been worn by every member of my family for the last 8 years and still looks as good as new!
i think when i have paid off my debt i will have to go shopping for some basics, decent jeans and tops, i think im still going to begrudge spending more than primark costs though!
have listed a jewellery set on ebay, its one that i made for an order that fell through , not bothered if it only makes two quid as that will cover materials. and just had a call from one wedding shop thats sold another £30 worth (well £50 but £30 to me) If the sales stay like this November might be possible after all!!0
