EMA Scotland vs England

In England the EMA thresholds for 07/08 are unchanged. See

http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Parents/Schoolslearninganddevelopment/Optionsafterschool/DG_067577

Where as in Scotland:

The thresholds have been increased. Yet another difference between England and Scotland but we pay the same taxes!

    malc_b,

The Benefits board is about getting people their entitlement, not discussing policy. If you wish to discuss policy, you are best to repost on the Discussion Time board x

How do you know the top link refers to the English system, where does it say that? As far as i can see its British based.

Perhaps its just not been updated where as the Scottish link has. It does say TY 07/08 in the top link.

I personally cant see why there would be any difference. I Think its just down to the fact the top link hasn't been updated yet.

    Sorry for the misplaced post.

I know the rates have not increased for England since I raised that with my MP. Yet another stealth tax if you like. What I hadn't realised was that Scotland had increased the rates which I just found out (via Google). BTW the Scotland link I have updated to a web page rather than the pdf.

It's interesting that the direct.gov doesn't make it clear that this is only England (and Wales?).

So stop discussing it and post in the correct place!

I was rather thinking that admin would move the thread. In any case the discussion has ended it would seem. But I could argue that informing scots on this board they have a higher limit does fall into the scope of this section as you define it.
