Morphy Richards Steam Generator Iron anyone?

Bought myself one of these a couple of weeks ago in Tesco and have been so impressed with it that I have been ironing things I wouldnt normally bother with tea towels, undies etc!
However, half way through the ironing today - the steam just cut out and now it wont work.
The red power light is flashing, there is water in the tank but it just wont work. Have looked at the manual and it makes no reference to the light flashing red (it should go to green to indicate its ready).
Does anyone else have one of these and know what the problem could be.
They have a helpline but its only open office hours.
Failing that may just have to take it back to Mr T for a new one as I cant be without it now!

Straight back to Tesco I think for a swap, not worth the hassle of messing about to fix it. Problem could return. May as well get a new one!0
