    Besides there isn't much point in having them so accurate when so many other fiddle-factors are applied to the reading to calculate your "actual" usage (the calorific value is only an everage of multiple samples taken accross the distribution network)

    Yes! I forgot about this. The last time I looked at this the value quoted by my supplier was quite a bit different to that given in examples on other websites.

    1 in 3 meters are inacurate?
    Not quite. One in 3 meters tested was inaccurate, possibly by only 3%. So that would only reduce a £600 bill by £18.

    I've heard that it's closer to 1 in 10,000 are inaccrate in total.
