Sky tv been switched off overnight

I cancelled my sky tv package last month after 16 years and not really getting any good incentives to stay however we have continued to watch the free to air ITV 2 etc. with the existing card and today after watching ITV2 and changing to a news channel I got a message saying "There is a technical fault with this channel please try later". I then tried to torn on any program and none work anymore. Have they turned the whole lot off? Do I need to pay for a freeview card? In yorkshire by the way if it is a problem for others.Hope someone can help.

When I cut off sky they told me to keep the dish and box as I would get all the free channels through it still so I think you probably have a technical problem. Have you tried removing the plug from the socket for a couple of minutes then starting it up again?0

when i had a sound prob with my sky tv i unplugged from the wall, left for 30 mins and plugged back in and it solved the problem (thanks to forum members)!! so try that, as it should reset it all.0
