Software Recommendation - Backing up

SyncBackSE, it comes in a freeware version and also a shareware version (£14.50 to buy). I ended up buying it as the shareware version has more functionality.

It's a very good, easy to use backup application. I currently have daily backups (at 7pm as my machine is usually on then). These are done incrementally, compressed (zip), and encrypted (256bit AES algorithm) on my local machine. It also sends a copy of the backup to a network share on another computer in my house. Best of all, it uploads the backup to the ftp space my ISP gives me on a weekly basis (or as I choose). This gives me a remote backup.

It can send emails should something fail, or should you wish to be notified either way, so you'll know if your backups are happening.

This basically only touching the surface as you can customize most parts of the backup process (what, how, where and when). Well worth looking into if you value your own data/information.

It's updated quite often and the support is very good too. They've always had answers to any of my questions. I normally stick to free software these days, but this along with Acronis TrueImage is one of the few must have applications for me. Money well spent, give it a try.
