KC Talk Plans from Kingston Communications

Im having a long and drawn out argument with KC as they are insisting i can no longer just buy line rental from them. Now I have to buy Line Rental which includes free local calls. Before this short (under 6 mins) local calls were cheaper with call 18866 over thier 0808 number and as most of my friends and family live in Norfolk I only make a handful of local calls each month. Consequently i am paying about £2 a month more to KC than I reckon I need to. Ive complained to them, Ofcom, Cisas, Watchdog and Look North - still cant get them to budge - is anyone else having the same trouble? Could do with more complaints to Ofcom as I think if they get enough they can force KC to change the pricing structure

Hi,
Everyone I know at work is exceptionally unhappy about the new KC price plans. Up until recently a significant number of us were getting line rental from KC and using OneTel dialler boxes or similar for calls. The move to the £20 per month package is clearly targetting users who don't use KC's overpriced calls.
Has anyone found a way to reduce their monthly charges now that we're being charged in advance for calls we don't want? (Other than moving to Gilberdyke!)

Whats to stop you changing your KC plan to plan 1,£10.50p a month(But unlike BT who charge the same line rental, it includes unlimited local calls),and then signing up for https://www.call1899.com and using their Non Bt Cable/Mobile Freephone 0808 access number. To make calls to non-local 01/02 numbers for just 3p connection talk as long as you like, and cheaper mobile and intl calls.Surely KC allow you to call 0800/0808 freephone numbers for free?PF.0
