Why the difference?
When I used the same info on the moneysupermarket, energyhelpline and uswitch sites, I got different results. The energyhelpline and uswitch were close with British Gas being closest to my present Scottish Power price but moneysupermarket was wildly different, showing a British Gas £183 saving! Has anyone else found this discrepancy and if so, does anyone know why?

What info did you use?
If you input it in £'s there are so many fiddle factors happening that it is near impossible to get accurate results.
If you input Kwh's (preffered) you'll be comparing apples with apples instead of apples with pears.
One sorce of error (on electricity anyway) is if you have a two rate tarrif like E7 - the sites assume different splits AFAIK (i.e. some may base calcs on 65% off peak usage, others 50% for example)

I have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.:cool:0 -
I did input KWH and gave the % split on E70
