Reducing your Bill

This may have been covered here already - if so apologies.

Not long ago we got the phone bill in with a leaflet. I will say now that our phone bill not nearly so large as when kids were at home!

I think we are Option 1 and were told in the leaflet that we could get free weekend calls but in the small print DH noticed that evening calls were being hiked up. He phoned BT and asked if there was a better deal and lo and behold they have now given us free evening calls too for the same price. One year's contract but we can then renew. We also still get any savings on our Friends and Family numbers.

Worth looking at your package methinks.

Grannybroon, I think the only way to reduce your bill is stop talking:D

I must pop over to the OS "where magic happens" and see if you have posted a piccy of your new kitchen yet, I read the os board everyday and followed your progress on the kitchen.

    Hi Merlot

Stop talking, well DH says I should. That is a difficult one. Especially when DH is in Ireland. Largest bit of our phone bill. He does phone us though!

Haven't posted pictures of kitchen yet - one or two snags to finish and now going on holiday. Will do so in due course. Suffice to say it was hard work but I am totally delighted. DH has bumped his head on the extractor hood a couple of times though and language - well!!!!!

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
