do some of Martin's screen scrapers to see what's about. I use traveljungle to get a good idea of the pricing. Emirates are normally fairly cheap ( I think now they mainly fly from Gatwick?)
The routing is quite good for flying through the jet-lag. If you leave here in the evening sleep to Dubai - stay awake for Dubai to Singapore and then sleep Singapore to Brisbane (each leg is about 7 - 8 hours) You arrive in the morning, fairly ready to go, (I just needed a cat nap in the afternoon and was in bed after a glass of wine at 9pm), but I did survive the next day at a music festival the whole day :rotfl:0 -

Emirates fly from Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, as well as London.
And you don't necessarily have to go Dubai-Singapore. We've flown with them twice, once to Melbourne and once to Perth. Both flights only had the one stop at Dubai outbound and return.
We made sure we landed in Oz late afternoon/early evening. Enough time for evening meal and then to bed. Jet lag not too bad.
Emirates were cheapest both times when we went, we booked through Travelmood.0 -
Try Maylasianairlines.com. They still have availability on their supersaver fares for september. Perth came out around £790 per person including taxes.
Their flight hub is Kuala Lumpur - 13 hours then another 7.5 to sydney or 5 to perth. We always overnight in KL on the way back, staying at the Pan Pacific just outside the airport - you can walk or get the courtesy buggy ride. Worth stretching out in a real bed and being relaxed for the long flight home.
