  • It may not have been an error made by the Bank. If it had been a BACS payment where the money comes from another bank directly from computer to computer, they may have got the wrong account number by a couple of digits but as this was the valid account number of your neice, it would be automatically credited.
    People always seem so quick to have a go at Banks, it would be something that they had no control over.
