Can't download AVG 7.5 or any, get a message, any clues please?

Local machine: installation failed
Installation:
Error: Action failed for registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\AVG.Kernel: creating registry key....
Access is denied. (5)

Thats the message I get every time, have taken the firewall off and deleted all other virus programs but I'm stuck. Installation will not complete due to the above.

Any advice on what to do please.

    You should only ever have one antivirus program on your pc or they tend to conflict.
    You could try the free kaspersky a/v scan .
    try and use ccleaner-free-then try and download avg , but get it from the official grisoft website or majorgeeks and just click run -not save.

    If you are getting access denied to a HKLM registry key you are not an administrator of your machine, you will have no problem writing to HKCU. Try running the install by right clicking on it and selecting RUNAS and select administrator. What operating system are you running?
