Tax Credits have me down as working 10hrs a week, physically this is what i do work, although in my contract, i'm down as 20hrs per week. Its just a cleaning job, and as i do the work in half the time i only work 10 hrs, although i'm paid for 20hrs. so i'm asking what if anything would change by me telling them this. My earnings won't be any different so need i bother? I've got my renewal form in the post today which is whats promted this question.

so you work 10 hours but are still paid for 20 hours.
I dunno but if your boss is classing you as 20 hours as you are what seems a fast worker then I would stick with the 20 hours.0 -
You need to tell them your contracted hours, or the hours you are paid for, ie 20.
I would do this asap as you are supposed to notify them if any details are incorrect, even if it won't make a difference to your award.0 -
If you are paid for 20 hours then this is the number of hours you declare so there should not be a problem leaving things as they are.
The opposite situation to yours would also be the same - working 30 hours and only being paid for 20, you can only declare the 20.0 -

The OP said her award states she works 10 hours, so they need to increase that to 20.0 -
Sorry, I am literally just awake and misread the OP. So yes she would need to inform TCO her hours are 20.
I should give it a bit more time after waking up before replying!0 -
Do you have a partner who works? This could make a huge difference to your award, as working 10hrs a week you won't get wtc, but working 20hrs a week you will!0
