Urgent Help Please

Wow, thanks for your fast replies. I posted the same message in a computer forum yesterday and i'm still waiting for the first response. This is much better.

Anyway, following on from what espresso recommended i've attempted to install the software with mixed success. I was able to install the ccleaner, the Windows defender and the spybot search and destroy but failed when trying to install the SuperAntiSpyware and Ad-Aware.

Right then, an update and a couple more questions.

It appears that i may have removed the virus (i won't say that too loud) so thanks very much for everyone's help.

What do i do with all of the software i've just downloaded? Are they slowing down my machine and so should be removed? Should i keep some and remove the others?

Also, tonyhague mentioned " run the 'issues' module and fix all errors, you should notice an instant, free, speed boost". How do i do this please?
