my phone bills have always for the last few years been paid monthly to bt but for some reason they sent me a bill last month for 3 months. when i called them they told me that they were changing my billing period from monthly to quartely. i have explained to them that i dont want that and i have never said to them that i want to change. my monthly bill should have been paid 2 weeks ago by direct debit but they didnt take it. instead they called and told me that i havent paid my bill. i called them again and still they want 3 months in advance. can they change my bill to quartley without my say so??

Monthly billing is only available on direct debit, if for any reason your direct debit has been cancelled you would automatically be reverted to a quarterly billing cycle. Phone BT and ask about the status of your direct debit, if it has failed or been cancelled by BT or your bank or anything along those lines. I think your problem will probably lie there.0
