You either download a newsgroup reader or you can use your email client. I used to use FreeAgent but now I just use the newsreader built into Thunderbird. If you're looking at downloading multipart binaries you'll need another tool, i'm not familiar with them though as I only use text newsgroups.It's my problem, it's my problem

@balloo
What is your ISP?
Does it allow you to access newsgroups?Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -
Sorry to hijack, but does anyone know any free newservers at the moment? Not binaries, just containing the uk.* groups?0

No but Individual.Net is only £7.50 a year.0

I'd second individual.net, very good service. I also use the Virgin Media's news server, mainly because they have some excellent support newsgroups on there. It's much easier to speak to their support people on them and book calls etc. through them than on the phone.It's my problem, it's my problem

Yea, I remember back in the days when telewest broadband was Blueyonder. Had excellent support newsgroups, glad to see Virgin have retained them even though they aren't my ISP now.0 -
