Job Seekers Allowance & Pension Credit

Can anyone advise:

I am on JSA and approaching 60, when I will be entitled to Pension Credit.
My question is, do I have to continue to seek employment (when no-one is interested), or can I retire early ??

Once you stop claiming JSA and claim Pension Credit instead you will not be required to sign on or seek employment.

As soon as you (or your partner) is 60 claim pension credit. Its more money for you and it will be less hassel than JSA agreements etcNormally the job centre plus will contact you just before your 60th and invite you to swap over to pension credit
