Vodafone Contracts - free text/mms

Hiya,
Just found a Vodafone student offer, 3G phone, unlimited text/mms for the contract period, and any time minutes, starting from £25/mo for 125 anytime mins.
The only downside is that its an 18 month contract. Might be good for serious texters/emailers though?
Well, in any case, I've signed up for it...
Just if anyone else is interested

I've just sorted out a mobile deal for my girl-friend. We switched from vodafone to 3, simplky because the contract came to an end and they weren't offering any good deals.
She gets 500 martini minutes [anytime, anyplace, anynetwork!], plus 100 texts per month. She pays £30 per month.....but gets £180 cash back after Month 6 & £180 cash back after Month 12. I also went via Quidco, and got £25 cash back from them. I'll let you do the maths, but suffice to say I'm happy with the deal.
You'll still have your 7-day cooling off period with vodafone, if you want to swap. The 3 deal allows you to port your number across too. Have a look at THIS if you are interested.0 -
The vodafone offer is good, but as you say it is an 18 month contract. The choice of phone is limited to 3G ones.
Remember Orange also offer a good student deal, with many benefits... mainly 1000 free texts/month. However these do not include MMS like Vodafone.
3 also have a student deal, its 100 mins and 1000 texts for £20.0 -
3 do seem good, but I've not heard good stories about their network, and the lack of internet access makes it a no no for me

I was considering Orange, but for not much more than them, you can get a better (IMHO) offer from Vodafone.
Having said that, I've just realised something.
On vodafone, for £30 a month, you can get anytime 200 with 500 free texts (the £60 extras package). The advantage of the extras package is that it can be used for a mixture of texts, picture msgs, videos and gprs browsing.
If you send no texts, you'd get 25meg GPRS inclusive, or you could send 250 texts and still have 12.5meg included. Plus, you could add the £120 extras package, and for a total of £45 a month (£30 + £15 - the price difference between the £60 and the £120 extras package), have either 1000 texts, or 50meg GPRS, or a mixture of stuff.
it doesn't have unlimited texts/pics, but it does have the proper extras package included.
Damn. I think that'd've been better for me. Looks like its time to ring Vodafone tonight and see what they can do...
