    Morning All,

    WTMs so far today.
    - Getting up early and having a nice walk in the woods with pooch.
    - Doing my budget spreadsheet for June and seeing that all should me comfortably manageable for the first time in years :):):)

Hi Guys, not had many WTM lately but today I had an argument with DS and off he stomped (you set the scene?) Ten minutes later in he walks with a box of Roses for me. Brought a little tear to my eye and I must admit that I was chuffed that he's so caring and considerate.

WTM - freecycling door to a really nice couple who were chuffed to bits with it. They get a new back door - I get space in my garage and a warm fluffy feeling inside! Win-win :)

My WTM moments of the weekend were going to see Bruce Springsteen on Friday night (fabulous!) and then spending the rest of the weekend with my brother, his girlfriend and my gorgeous nephew. Bliss. Have a fab week everyone. Hope there are loads of WTM moments all round.

Sat - getting help with my allotment - so much done in such a little time :) plus getting tickets to see Neil Diamond and today doing RFL with my mum...made us both realise how blessed we are as we went round!

  • This last weekend we had to travel to pick up DS1 from uni - a round trip of 22 hours if the traffic is good (Somerset to Scotland!). When we did the trip in September pre-mse we:
had 2 nights in travel lodges - about £100 (2 rooms one night, 1 room the second)
had all meals in cafes for 3 days
stopped for coffee in motorway services

    this time we:
had 2 nights on a campsite, in glorious sunshine
had breakfast and lunch we sorted ourselves, having take-away one night, and a pub dinner the second
combined this with geocaching so had all coffee stops somewhere fairly pleasant just off the motorway, and having a walk at the same time
had one stop in costa lotta coffee shop on the motorway, spending £12 on 3 cakes and drinks - but a) they were really, really appreciated (as really, really lush) and b) we'd already saved about £200

WTM was the weather - fab in Scotland at the weekend, having far more fun camping than we would in a hotel, knowing how much we'd saved and therefore feeling virtuous rather than guilty over the last stop coffee and cakes.

    Cheers

Oops, I've been slacking on the WTM's this week as I've been busy giving the house and garden more than their usual attention. However every day they've improved a little, so each day has had it's own wee WTM.

WTM for Sat, took me dear ol' Mum out for a birthday lunch (she was 87 :T ) her meal was lovely but my fish was so overcooked it was terrible. I would have kept quiet but Mum complained and we got a full refund of both meals and drinks. Good ol' Mum!

WTM for Sunday, went to a car boot sale and found the holdall on wheels I was going to buy in Argos today (£19.99), for £2, brand new with the label still on :j .

WTM today, went to Asda and found a camera case very similar to the one I was going to buy in Argos today (£9.99) for £3.97!

WTMs for tomorrow and every day til 18th, taking my Mum on holiday for 2 weeks. She's chosen Majorca, never been there meself but it can't be that bad. Can it:rotfl:?! She loves her foreign hols and has done remarkably well for someone of her age - who knows how much longer she'll be able to go, so as long as she has a good time that's what it's all about.

Meantime hope you all have lots of lovely WTMs to report and I look forward to reading them all when I get back. Take care n God bless all
