I am a nanny but also babysit sometimes too

I am with a nanny / babysitter agency and got my CRB done through them, had the money reimbursed once i had worked for 20 hrs via them

as a mum myself i would only use a babysitter through an agency TBH ,used to use Sitters
where i could see CRB checks had been made, and would want very good references i could check out myself

    Good luck with it all

I also have a CRB check (done through full time work and being a cadet force instructor) and have first aid anyway so that always helps.

I have to say that I would say I'd never leave the children with someone I didn't know.
Then I thought about school. I didn't know them did I?
Is your friend recommending you as part of her buisness? If she is then she should get a CRB check on you. That avoids the cost to you and covers you both.
IE what would happen to her if you were recommended and decided to harm the kids (Not saying you would, because if you would I don't think you'd ask about it on a public forum.)?
May be worth looking into a bit further.

I agree, I don't think it would be possible unless they are formally employing her, which is not the situation described.
