Does anybody know which account offers the highest rate of interest ?

If you want to risk the frustration of opening the account then the Halifax Childrens Regular Saver offers 10% return on up to £100 per month for a year. For a savings account the interest rate can't be beaten - but beware - the extra interest may not be worth the hassle of dealing with the Halifax unless you are very lucky.
