So logically when people talking about their gas supplier/bill company and use the abbrev "BG" they are refering to British Gas because according to you they cannoot possibly be meaning the BG company who does oil & gas exploration.
But thanks for your other useful points.0 -

Yes , that is logical .
One other point, although I said that BG do not have a presence in the UK , they are a British company and their shares are listed in the Stock Exchange under "BG" . So if you want to but shares in either " British Gas" (ie Centrica) or "BG", do make sure you are buying into the correct company !What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

Still no reply so it's on to the MP now (via http://www.writetothem.com/)
We'll see ...........
It sounds like someone else has had a new meter installed (or a meter changed) and the addresses have got mixed up, especially if there are meter readings on record for the meter that isn't your neighbours. I presume you've tried asking Powergen to investigate? They will have to send a meter person around to investigate anyway, so they would find the records are all wrong. Npower recently had to investigate to prove that the meter for our flat was listed as being at an office! I don't know also whether it's would be best to complain generally to energywatch, not to address to a particular individual? Just a suggestion!
Electricity is a nightmare because one company deals with the meters, and another company is your supplier. Meter company gives wrong information and everyone's in trouble!
Hope you get it sorted.Indecision is the key to flexibility0
