Broadband Telephone Filter Sockets

With Sky broadband. Just got a very simple question. Put all the filters they gave me into all my BT points apart from one. Will this make any difference in speed? Is it worth calling them and asking them to send another one out?

Yes it will, ALL sockets in use must be filtered, can you unplug that device for now, I doubt they will send you a free one.

Just to clarify what totalsolutions said, you only need a filter in sockets that are being used (i.e. something plugged into them). You don't need filters in a socket that's empty.

You can pick up ADSL filters from most supermarkets quite cheaply

It can cause all sorts of problems if you don't install your micro-filters correctly, Sky installers are notorious for cutting corners. Buy another filter and fit it yourself, they are very cheap to buy and you can get them most anywhere.
