It's well known that they will increase the price then roll them back or do a half price offer then put them to a new price to hide a price increase, Tesco and Sainsburys do it aswell amongst others. It's where it's handy having a price book to keep a record of all the prices, I was amazed that the value mature cheeses is now over £5 per kilo, they were under £4 per kilo not so long ago.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

Yes, I've started a price book. I know some people who say they can do it all in their heads, but with prices zooming up, and supermarkets using all sorts of tricky thing with portion sizes, etc, you really need to keep track of price per kilo.

I have "target prices" - I refuse to pay more than £5 a kilo for mature cheese. If I find it for less, then I might buy extra.

Strong white flour has remained at 48p in Sainsburys for a long time now, having reduced from a higher price. I think it was 60-something pence before. However, with the food prices all going up I expect this to change, so I bought a big pile of flour with a voucher last week. 3Kg of flour for less than £1 before discount, at this point in time seems very good.
