Strong Flour 48p at Asda

I just noticed today that the price has been "rolled back" from 75p to 48p for 1.5 kilograms! :j

thanx for this....they've obviously realised we're all going elsewhere for it, cos Mr T & Mr M haven't put their prices up yet

I don't know what Morrison's charges, but Aldi doesn't carry it, so I've just been buying it at Asda, anyway.
Who knows if it will last, though? They put the price of their big boxes of nappies down to something ridiculously low and I was totally excited... until the next time I went and there weren't any more big boxes of Asda nappies. All that shelf space is now taken up by Pampers or Huggies and they only sell smaller packs of Asda nappies.

My Asda still has the 75p price. When everyone was talking about the half priced dried fruits last week ours were still all full price. There seems to be some local price differences.

They upped it to 75p a couple of weeks ago, was a big thread about it, I wonder if that's just so they can do a 'roll back' on it? No other retailers have increased their prices.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

That's exactly what I thought when I saw it today. Well, it blew up in ASDA's face as I bought about 10 bags of white bread flour in Sainsbury's after ASDA put up the price two weeks ago.

I have yellow and blue ones (Lidl) and pink and white ones (Tesco) I also ended up shopping online with Tesco instead of Asda as due to it being my 'flour shop' Tesco won on price....

I am convinced that Asda put up the price of things for a fortnight, just so they can roll them back to a lower price. I notice they do it all the time with Sultana Bran. I've watched them do it several times. It starts off at £1.43, then goes to about £1.75 for 2 weeks and then magically rolls back to £1.45. In the end its normally done to hide a price rise of 1-2p.

That doesn't surprise me. Which store promised to have half-price fruit and veg all year? Didn't somebody find that they first double the price for a couple of weeks?

I only have Asda and Morrisons locally and I almost never go to Morrisons, so I didn't know that the regular price of flour was 48p. But, I was happy to see the price lowered, anyway.

It was Tesco with their veg pledge- they did double the price before they halved it!

Yes wasn't it a huge price jump? I went into sainsburys on tuesday and bought 4 bags at 48pence instead. If sainsburys carry on doing a 48pence bag, I will continue to buy it in there instead as it adds to my nectar points.
Siansburys have reduced a few things to better or the same than Asda over the years and it is worth me having the nectar card and going in there to buy them as the points will pay for my Turkey come christmas.
