I have £3,000 to put away somewhere ideally for 6 months,
I'v been looking around but the more I look the more confussing it gets!

Depends if you are a tax payer. if yes then put it in an isa....see supermarket.com to compare.
If not a tax payer then totally depends on what access you want, local to you, internet access and so much more.

If you really won't touch it for six months, you can do an ICEsave 6-month saver bond at 6.8% interest. You will have to pay tax on the interest.0

I am not a tax payer, will I still have to pay tax on the interest on an ICEsave?
Yes I do already have an ISA which I just moved to the Lloyds fixed rate.0
